Roger Robinson

For over 40 years, Roger Robinson dedicated his life to all things beautiful on the central coast of California. His love affair with the central coast focused from Santa Barabara to Monterrey, from the majectic valleys and hills to the spectacular coastline. Each of his "works of art" captures the essence of each location with incredible detail which became his trademark and the use of only three primary colors to accomplish it. Roger Robinson cared deeply about ensuring that everyone, from all walks of life felt the same emotion as he in each of his creations. From the quiet serenity of the hills, the mesmerizing crash of waves on the coastline, to the peaceful interaction of people in the places we all enjoyed, like Alice Keck Park in Santa Barbara.

Roger also was a believer that all of us have a natural need to experience art personally. His natural ability to teach others about his great love affair spanned over 50 years of teaching. From High Schools, Community Colleges, and private lessons, his influence will cast a long shadow over the lives of his students forever.

If you own a Roger Robinson original, feel free to add any comments about your "work of art" on our Guest Book, or if he touched your life through his professional teachings, commissioned art work, or any other special way, we encourgage you to share your thoughts about the "Jewel of the Central Coast."
